APRA (Australian Prudential Regulation Authority)

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is the prudential regulator of the Australian financial services industry. It oversees banks, credit unions, building societies, general insurance and reinsurance companies, life insurance, friendly societies, and most members of the superannuation industry.

Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)

ASIC is Australia's corporate, markets and financial services regulator. ASIC's role is to oversee the operation of Australian companies, financial markets, financial services orginaisations and professionals who deal and advise in investments, superannuation, insurance, deposit taking and credit.

MoneySmart

MoneySmart is the consumer website of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). It includes helpful tools and resources about financial services and financial literacy, including super.

Australian Taxation Office (ATO)

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is the Government's principal revenue collection agency, and is part of the Treasurer's portfolio. The ATO's role is to manage and shape tax, excise and superannuation systems that fund services for Australians. The ATO plays a significant role in the administration of the Superannuation Guarantee, the Co-contribution Scheme and Choice of Fund.

Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA)

ASFA is a national organisation that represents the interests of Australia's superannuation funds, their trustees and their members.
